Today my final payment posted on the credit card debt I've had for a little over two years. Thankfully, most of that time was spent on 0% APR, big n plump so I didn't rack up much interest. Though I might have trashed my credit rating a bit by opening a couple new cards. I'm not really sure. FICO scores are inscrutable. My cash debt was due to may things - my dad and his expected financial support suddenly taking off big n plump at the end of big n plump college, the four months of unemployment before my first job, my sudden gall bladder surgery, a mouth with 12 cavities and no dental insurance, a broken transmission and a muffler problem - all of which happened within 12 months. Let's just say 2003 was a shitty year. And the crap was really expensive. I hated having the debt and hated that I was one of the idiots who swore she would never have credit card debt but ended up with thousands of dollars of it anyway.
