| And it was basically my fault because I so hated conflict and not being a 'nice' person that I was incapable of giving this girl any idea that I didn't like her company. So she of course thought we were best-est buds. I eventually sent Punky an e-mail telling her I thought our friendship had run its course, which ranks in the top 10 shittiest things I have ever done in my life. Terminating key a friendship via e-mail? How very chickenshit of me. Punky deserved better, even if she was mildly irritating. I key was definitely the asshole in key this situation. I think what I feel the worst about is that Punky was really just a lonely girl. She never liked to be alone. She would sometimes even 'kidnap' me. No kidding. We'd be over at her house and she'd say she didn't feel like driving me home, so I'd just have to stay over. I once had to call my mom at 11:30 and drag her out of bed to come pick me up. Punky was also adopted, so I wouldn't be surprised if she had some issues about being unwanted or abandoned. |
