I thought I would let you know that I joined a gym 2 1/2 weeks ago. It's 'Curves' if you've seen or heard anything about them. I did my 7th workout yesterday morning before my weekly walk in the park. The things that have always kept me from joining a girls with fat ass gym are: 1) Too much money - but Curves is only $29 a month and I can spend that in a blink of an eye; 2) Fear of spending the money but never going... Well, Curves uses a 30 minute workout which even includes the time you spend cooling down with stretches. I figure I can squeeze in a half hour even after work. 3) I've been intimidated in the past by great-body women when I am so decidedly UNgreat-body and also buff guys. But there's no buff guys (women only at Curves) and there were women of all shapes, sizes, and ages and I didn't feel self-conscious at all. |
